Bonnie has been active in purebred dogs since acquiring her first Sheltie in 1955.
As a junior handler, Bonnie trained and competed with her Sheltie, Tinker, in
obedience, earning a Utility Dog (U.D.) title with high scores along the way.
When in high school, Bonnie conducted obedience classes for a few years for the
local department of recreation. Bonnie is now an AKC Good Citizen Evaluator #7509. After their marriage in 1962, Bonnie & Hank were active in the Shetland Sheepdog Club of So. Calif. Hank is a past president and Bonnie chaired several committees. Their family grew to three sons, and during the 1970's and 1980's, the dog showing slowed when the family became involved with their horses. Then in 1989 their first Border Terrier came into their life. |
